The Marussia Formula 1 team has reacted furiously to offensive claims made against it and Jules Bianchi over the situation behind his Japanese Grand Prix crash.
While the Frenchman racer remains in a life-threatening condition in hospital, his team said it was "shocked" that some publications had terrified fault towards it and Bianchi over what occurred.
Various media outlets stated that Bianchi had not slowed down under double waved yellow flags before his collapse, and that the Marussia team had recommended him to shove hard in a bid to continue ahead of Caterham's Marcus Ericsson.
Both allegations have been sturdily denied by Marussia - which says that at a time when it’s happen, we were focused on helping Bianchi it should not be forced to react to inaccuracies.
At a time when its driver is seriously ill in hospital and the squad has made clear that its uppermost priority is considered for Jules and his family, it is upsetting to have to respond to deeply distressing rumors and inaccuracies in regard of the circumstances of Jules' accident.
“Even so, granted that these claims are utterly false, the squad has no alternative but to address these."
