Switzerland 0-2 England: Super striker Welbeck (59, 90) gives breath to England with a perfect start to qualifying

Later on a week that threatened to turn drama into disaster, England finally delivered in what many believe will be the toughest match of their European Championship qualifying battle.
Passed on the kindness of UEFA’s process, if it wasn’t a statement of the greatest satisfaction, it would be possible to put forward that with Danny Welbeck’s two goals, England can already start checking out training camps in France.
Opportunity: Joe Hart saves from Haris Seferovic (Switzerland) in the first half

England beaten Switzerland in Basle it is close to impossible, to imagine this team now falling below the likes of Lithuania (who only put two past San Marino) or Slovenia (who lost to Estonia) to miss out on routine qualification.

First goal: Rooney to Sterling to Welbeck , Welbeck made excellent goal.
 Its goooooal, excellent team work
England celebrates as a team after Welbeck's opening goal (59 m)
Yet this was about more than the group table, this consequence buys time, wins support, keeps the faith, and dumps the baggage of Brazil. Switzerland is not world-beaters — they approved five against France in the summer, for heaven’s sake, and Johan Djourou is the centre-half — but they are not mugs moreover. They gave Argentina a tremendous game, have a top 10 FIFA ranking and were favorites on the night.

Chance: In first-half, Phill Jones hit the ball with his head towards the corner of the left side goalkeeper, but it missed.

Switzerland Goalkeeper - Yann Sommer dives and save the goal
This was an excellent result for England; Welbeck’s second adding impressive stress to the scoreline. The level of performance was a great enhancement. England moved the ball quickly, played on the counter-attack with great humor and new systems, positions and players showed promise.
